Privacy Policy

Last updated: 20 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Ellis Lite Ware ("Ellis Lite Ware", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit https://ellisliteware.com, use our installable app, place an order or contact us. We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and the guidance of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

1. Who we are

Ellis Lite Ware is the data controller for the personal data described here.
Address: 13 Akperan Orshi Street, Gwarinpa, FCT Abuja
Email: support@ellisliteware.com
Phone / WhatsApp: +234 701 161 2125

2. The personal data we collect

  • Order and delivery details: your name, email address, phone number, delivery address and any note or product specification you add to an order.
  • Account details (optional): if you create an account — your name, email, password (stored only as a secure hash), saved addresses, wishlist and order history.
  • Payment information: payments are processed by our payment partner WittyPay on its secure checkout. We receive the payment reference, amount and status. We never see or store your card number, PIN, CVV or bank login details.
  • Communications: messages you send through our contact form, corporate enquiry form, email or WhatsApp, and product reviews you choose to submit.
  • Newsletter: your email address, if you subscribe.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and basic security logs, used to keep the store secure and working.
  • Cookies and analytics: see section 7.

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18. Orders must be placed by an adult.

3. Why we use your data, and our lawful basis

  • To process and deliver your order, send order and payment confirmations, and provide customer support — *performance of a contract*.
  • To verify payments and prevent fraud (for example, confirming every payment directly with WittyPay before an order is fulfilled) — *legitimate interests and legal obligation*.
  • To keep accounting and tax records — *legal obligation*.
  • To send marketing emails or newsletters — *your consent*, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link.
  • To measure and improve the store with analytics cookies — *your consent*, given through our cookie banner.
  • To publish your product review — *your consent*; reviews show your first name and last initial only.

4. Who we share your data with

We share only what each partner needs to do its job:

  • WittyPay — to process your payment securely.
  • Delivery and logistics partners — your name, phone number and delivery address, to deliver your order.
  • Email and hosting providers — to run this website and send transactional emails.
  • Analytics providers (Google Analytics, Meta) — only if you accept analytics cookies.
  • Authorities — where the law requires it, or to protect our customers and business against fraud.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. How long we keep your data

  • Order, payment and invoice records: up to 6 years, as required for accounting and tax purposes.
  • Account data: for as long as your account is open; you can ask us to delete it at any time.
  • Contact and enquiry messages: up to 2 years.
  • Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe.
  • Security logs: a short period, typically up to 12 months.

6. How we protect your data

Our website is served only over encrypted HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, payment secrets are encrypted, access to the admin dashboard is restricted by role, and every payment is re-verified with our payment provider. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, and we will notify you and the NDPC of a data breach where the law requires it.

7. Cookies and analytics

Essential cookies keep you signed in, remember your cart and protect forms against misuse. The store cannot work without them.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics and Meta Pixel), if used, are set only after you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. They help us understand which pages and products are popular. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer.

8. Your rights

Under the NDPA you have the right to:

  • be informed about how your data is used;
  • access a copy of your personal data;
  • correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • ask us to delete your data (where we are not required to keep it);
  • restrict or object to certain processing, including direct marketing;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@ellisliteware.com or message us on WhatsApp at +234 701 161 2125. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) — ndpc.gov.ng.

9. International transfers

Some of our service providers (for example email or analytics providers) may store data outside Nigeria. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards permitted by the NDPA.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
